Research and knowledge dissemination organisation as defined in Article 2(83) of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014

The Lower Silesian Research and Development Center sp. z o. o. (DCBR) is a company spun off from the university's special purpose vehicle established by the University of Management and Coaching in Wrocław (currently the University of Sport) in accordance with Article 149 of the Act on Higher Education and Science. The DCBR was established for indirect commercialization, consisting in acquiring or purchasing shares in companies or acquiring subscription warrants entitling the holder to subscribe for or acquire shares in companies, in order to implement or prepare for the implementation of the results of scientific activities or the know-how related to these results, and to conduct activities aimed at better utilizing the University's intellectual and technical potential, as well as transferring the results of scientific work, development work, or know-how for use free of charge, in particular under a license, lease, or rental agreement.
